THE REVELATION
of JESUS CHRIST
Part 9
Rev 1:4 John to the seven
churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him
which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which
are before his throne;
Rev 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the
prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from
our sins in his own blood..
The subject of verses four and five of Revelation chapter one, and as
well the subject and subtitle of this discourse, is GRACE unto you and PEACE, which
together (Grace & Peace) are the end of, the fulfillment of, the very gift
and blessedness of the good news, the gospel message itself, because the Grace
and Peace spoken of here comes only from Jesus Christ... when He sends the
Spirit of Truth, the Comforter, unto you. Is that not what Jesus Christ brings
when He comes… peace on earth and grace, which is our Father’s goodwill,
towards men?
It is this Grace unto you and in you, and that Peace that passes all
understanding (of the carnal mind), that
comprise the spiritual nature of a heart wherein the Love of God resides (God is Love, 1 John 4:8). You can call it a
heart of gold, which metaphorically means a pure heart, a new heart, one that
has been purified/tried by fire, a heart (throne)
before which the seven Spirits burn brightly and that go forth into all the
earth, which earth you are. Isn’t that also what the disciples of Christ pray for… Thy kingdom come, Thy (good) will be done, on earth as it
is in heaven? And so it is when the Spirit of Truth comes unto you, then Grace
and Peace begin to emanate from your heart and manifest themselves in all the
earth, which earth you are.
Have you ever noticed how MANY times Grace and Peace are used by the
apostles Peter, John, and especially Paul, the apostle (messenger) to the Gentiles (nations,
i.e. powers within you, i.e. powers of the earth), because they are indeed the
prayer of all apostles of Jesus Christ, something they so desire for others to
receive, to come unto them, yet something they themselves know full well they
cannot teach nor impart to another human being? That is because they know they did
not receive it themselves from any man, but rather from the knowledge of Him,
from knowing Him… through the unveiling, through the revelation of Jesus Christ.
And when does the Revelation (the revealing, the
unveiling, the uncovering) of Jesus Christ take place
whereby one can “see” Him as He is? That would be after one has experienced the cross and received the Spirit of Truth… when the Comforter, the Intercessor
which is Christ, has come unto you! Remember, we talked in previous studies about
some of the things that happen at the crucifixion. It is the time when the “unveiling”,
which is the removal of the veil, begins to take place in a person. It is a
time when darkness covers the whole earth, the carnal mind, from the sixth hour
to the ninth hour and the veil that separates the inner sanctuary of the heart
from the mind is rent from top to bottom followed by a great earthquake… after which
the resurrection takes place… after which the ascension takes place… after
which the Spirit of Truth is sent to you.
And so it is that until Jesus Christ, who remains the image of a “man” in
the mind’s eye of most Christians, goes away and comes again in the Spirit of
Truth, there will be many things (spiritual
things) he or she will not “see”, things that he or she simply is not able
to understand. Why not? Because without the Comforter (intercessor) one cannot understand the mystery, one cannot “see” (understand, discern) the Spirit of God (1 Cor. 2:14). Again, it is after the crucifixion, and after
the resurrection, and after Christ ascends to the Father… Who sits on the
throne (which is your heart), that He sends the Comforter (para-kletos, Intercessor, Mediator), the Spirit of Truth, to you! Then you
will be able to “SEE” things to come because HE, the Intercessor, Comforter,
will SHOW YOU! In that sense, it can be said that true knowledge (of Him) and
understanding comes from deep within our heart (heaven), where Christ resides
and from where we hear His voice (His will), and not from the hearing and reasoning
of our carnal mind (earth).
It is written that after Christ is “taken up”, He gives His commandments unto His apostles through the
Holy Spirit that now resides in their hearts!
Act 1:2 Until the day in
which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:
Remember after the Spirit had descended like a dove upon Jesus at His
baptism and He entered into the wilderness, the desert, the desolate place (of
the carnal mind), to be tempted by Satan, He told Satan that man shall not live
by “bread” alone, but by “every word” that proceeds out of the “mouth of God”?
Now bread is the word that we take in from the outside, the bread that we
have all tried to live by. But dear ones, in our last days (Heb. 1:1-2) God
speaks to us by His Son. He speaks to us from within the inner sanctuary of our
hearts… through that still small voice. And once the veil is rent and Christ
enters into the Holy of Holies and sits at the Father’s right hand, He (the
Mediator) brings forth that which the Father speaks… and only that which the
Father speaks! (John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.)
Remember also when the disciples heard the words of Jesus in Mat. 16:6, when
He told them to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees and they did
not understand what He meant? What did they do? They held a “Bible study” and
reasoned among themselves with their great carnal minds. And you know what;
they came up with the wrong answer!
In fact, they had just done they VERY THING Jesus had told them to beware of
and not do… which was to create a doctrinal belief in their minds, because
those beliefs will indeed harden your heart and prevent you from hearing what
the Spirit (which is Life) has to say. You see, the Spirit resonates in the
heart and gives you wisdom, which is the spiritual understanding of life’s
experiences, both the good and the bad. So Christ reminded them and caused them
to understand what their experience of gathering up the fragments following their
feeding of the multitudes meant. Once they GOT IT, understood it spiritually
because they lived it, THEN they understood what it was they were to beware of (see
Mat. 16:6-12)! The point being, it is the carnal mind that creates doctrinal
beliefs. So Beware… because the carnal mind cannot receive
nor understand the things of the Spirit of God!
1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness (i.e. don’t make sense) unto him: neither
can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
At this point, if you are saying to yourself, I can’t really say I have experienced the cross, or I have no earthly idea what you are talking about, that’s fine.
If you love the Lord, just be patient and be comforted by knowing that He is
with you all the way in your journey, from the beginning to the end, with
whatever it is He has planned for you. Not only that, He is with you whether
you recognize Him being there or not! The beautiful words from Mary Stevenson’s
“Footprints in the Sand” say it so much better...
Footprints in the Sand
One night I dreamed I was walking
along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in
the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there was
one only.
This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish,
sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the
Lord,
“You promised me Lord, that if I
followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the
most trying periods of my life there has only been one set of footprints in the
sand. Why,
when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”
The Lord replied, “The years when
you have seen only one set of footprints, my child, is when I carried you.”
Mary Stevenson, 1936
It is written that it is to each man in his or her own order (1 Cor.
15:23) that the end comes, even as we must be children before we can be
adults. To that end, one who is still waiting for the return of Christ is one
who still sees Jesus in the natural, with his or her natural sight, who sees Jesus
Christ as a man, someone he or she walks with and talks to as did the disciples,
someone he or she sees on the outside, and who now sits on the right hand of
God on a throne somewhere up there in the heavens or out there in the far
reaches of space. And until such time as Jesus goes away and comes again to
you, which is when The Revelation (unveiling) of Jesus Christ begins to take
place, at which time He reveals Himself to you and you see Him as He is, you
will not and cannot understand the Book of Revelation. Why not? Because again, we
simply cannot understand (truly know) an experience if we have not had that experience.
We can believe it to be true… but believing something and knowing something are
not one and the same. You can believe that John and Paul received the
revelation of Jesus Christ, but until it happens to you, you really don’t KNOW
what that revelation is, do you? So without the life’s experience, we are
simply left with our carnal minds, and we cannot understand the Book of The
Revelation of Jesus Christ with our minds! But once we have lived it, just like
John, we will bear record of it, as in have it written (recorded) in our life’s
book of experience.
But again, if you are not at that point yet, that’s ok. Be patient in
knowing that the Revelation of Jesus Christ is a personal experience, a
renaissance indeed, and not learned in a Bible study or a college course. Take
comfort in the words of the Lord’s brother, James:
James 5:7 Be patient therefore,
brethren, unto
the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long
patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
He has come,
He is come, and He will continue to come into the lives of His servant sons and
daughters. And dear ones… again, He comes from within, not from without.
James 5:8 Be ye also
patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming
of the Lord draweth nigh.
It is also written
that no man knows the hour or the day. Just know that our Father is just that…
OUR Father, our loving Father, and He has foreordained the times and seasons for
each of us. Act 1:7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
And we must also
make sure that we are not envious nor begrudging of someone
whose time has come before ours, anymore than we would begrudge our brothers or
sisters for being older than we are. They would naturally mature before their
younger siblings, wouldn’t they? But that doesn’t mean Mom and Dad love them
more. Hey, let a newborn baby enter into the family and then see who gets the
most attention!
James 5:9 Grudge not one
against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.
In other words, if you grudge one against another, you will block the
“door”, you will block the entrance into the holy place… meaning into your
heart (where love resides)!
Here are Christ’s words to His disciples concerning their understanding,
their being able to bear (receive) the things He has to say unto them.
John 16:12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.
Jesus Christ, the only Mediator
between God and man, the Intercessor, the Comforter, spiritually brings forth
from the throne of your heart, the things He sees and hears from the Father,
which is the Father’s good will in us!
The reality of all this brings a deep inner peace to one’s core being that
is virtually inexplicable by words. Those who have such peace residing within
them have truly entered into His rest and have found a Peace, a freedom, far
above and beyond what the carnal mind understands or can even comprehend. They
no longer seek salvation for they have a Peace deep within their soul… as of one
who has seen the Great Light, one to whom Christ has revealed Himself. And if
you have seen Christ, you have seen the Father!
Phi 4:7 And the peace
of God, which passeth all (carnal) understanding, shall keep your
hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
When the Peace of God is kept in your heart… it naturally goes forth into
the world… your mind. Take notice also, that in the 16th chapter of
John from which we previously quoted, Christ specifically addresses His
disciples and tells them time and again that He must “go away” and be crucified
and come again (to their hearts, to the temple of God, to His throne)… so that they
can have that inner PEACE, in their hearts… no matter what is happening in the
world around them!
John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Does that mean we will no longer have any “bad days”? Well, that all depends
on how you look at things on bad days because as we just read, trials and
tribulations are certainly not going to go away! But your attitude of gratitude
need not go away when problems arise! In the world you SHALL HAVE TRIBULATION. But
He says “be of good cheer (courage, comfort)” because His Grace and the
Peace of God we just read of in Phi 4:7 is sufficient
to keep our hearts and minds through Jesus Christ, for He has overcome the world. That’s right, the “pure heart” trumps the carnal mind, even triumphs over it!
And once the Revelation of Jesus Christ has taken place in a person’s life,
he or she will now KNOW HIM, and be able to hear His Voice (His will) and will no
longer be a student, a “learner of and about Christ” but rather a “knower of
Christ”.
That is why Paul always makes it a point to state at the beginning of his
epistles that he is an APOSTLE of Jesus Christ (by the will of God), one who
has “seen the Light” and carries forth the good news, the message of the Grace
and Peace in Christ, and whose prayer and sincere desire it is for the saints
to come to know both that Grace and Peace... from the Prince of Peace.
Consider now the many times the prayer of “Grace & Peace” is bestowed upon the saints by the apostles in their writings.
PAUL, an apostle of Jesus Christ, writes:
Rom 1:7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God
our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
1Co 1:3 Grace be unto you, and peace, from God
our Father, and from the Lord Jesus
Christ.
2Co 1:2 Grace be to you and peace from God
our Father, and from the Lord Jesus
Christ.
Paul goes on
to explain that it is this Grace and Peace that comes from God our Father,
through Jesus Christ, that comforts us in all our tribulations.
2Co 1:3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
2Co 1:4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able
to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves
are comforted of God.
Gal 1:3 Grace be to you and peace from God
the Father, and from our Lord Jesus
Christ,
Again, this
Grace and Peace from God the Father and from our Lord Jesus Christ is brought
about by the crucifixion and resurrection and ascension… a “post discipleship”
experience you might say. May His Grace & Peace come unto you!
Gal 1:4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might
deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our
Father:
Gal 1:5 To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Eph 1:2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God
our Father, and from the Lord Jesus
Christ.
Eph 1:3 Blessed be the
God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual
blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
Grace and
Peace are spiritual blessings that dwell in your heart, the heavenly place
indeed, and provide us comfort through all our tribulations (which we are GOING
TO HAVE)!
Phi 1:2 Grace be unto you, and peace, from God
our Father, and from the Lord Jesus
Christ.
Col 1:2 To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which
are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God
our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
1Th 1:1 Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus,
unto the church of the Thessalonians which is in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus
Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord
Jesus Christ.
2Th 1:2 Grace unto you, and peace, from God
our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Paul adds the virtue of “mercy” to Grace & Peace in addressing both Timothy (dear to God, honoring of God) and Titus
(nurturer).
1Ti 1:2 Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.
2Ti 1:2 To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
Tit 1:4 To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the
Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour.
Phm 1:3 Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the
Lord Jesus Christ.
Peter also
desires Grace unto you and Peace… and furthermore that it be multiplied or increased, as in abound in you.
1Pe 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the
Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling
of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
It is through
the sanctification of the SPIRIT, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of
Jesus Christ (crucified) that this Grace & Peace can abound in you. And this happens when?
According to the foreknowledge of God the Father… to every man in his own order...
following the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ (the cleansing thereof)… in the Holy of Holies (the inner sanctuary of your Heart).
2Pe 1:2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you
through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
Again, Grace & Peace does not come through the scholarly
studying of the Bible. It comes through the knowledge (the knowing in your
heart, not mind) of God and Jesus Christ our Lord. And when do you come to a “knowledge” of God and of Jesus our Lord? Is it after
you have completed Bible 101, or graduated from a Seminary? Hardly
so.
2Pe 1:3 According as his
divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called
us to glory and virtue:
2Pe 1:4 Whereby are given
unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of
the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the
world through lust.
When Grace & Mercy & Peace have become part of your
character and makeup, emanating from your heart, as in flowing subconsciously
without any forethought, then you have become a partaker of the divine nature (God is Love). Then the scripture has
come to pass that “out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” John 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the Scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
2Jo 1:3 Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the
Father, in truth and love.
And that
brings us to Revelation chapter one, verse four, where John is addressing the seven churches which are
in Asia:
Rev 1:4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace,
from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven
Spirits which are before his throne;
Rev 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who
is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto
him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
Rev 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his
Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Remember we
talked about the seven churches which are Asia (which means mire) in our last discussion and we will
be talking about them quite in depth in the weeks to come because there is a
lot of re-thinking, i.e. re-penting, re-turning to
the Father, that needs to be done in order to be an overcomer of these heart blockers.
Remember
also that the things that are written in the book of the Revelation of Jesus
Christ are “signified”, which means they are signs representing something other
than that which we see in the natural... i.e. they are spiritual happenings
within us. And so it is that these “churches” are not church organizations or
church denominations, but rather metaphors and allegories of deep seated religious
spirits dwelling in each and every one of us, which things must be overcome… by
re-penting, even by re-directing our thinking from
seeing without to seeing within! For it is at this juncture that one must begin
to “hear what
the Spirit has to say”, which is a matter of the heart and not
of the mind.
You see, up
to this point we have all been subject to learning through and by the wisdom of
man. We attend church and we go to Bible studies and learn the traditional
teachings of men, which basically subject us to the law and point prophecies
toward world events outside instead of seeing how they apply to our own world
events. I mean, even when we read the words of Jesus we allow some man or margin
commentator to tell us what He said.
Therefore
all we know about God and His love has been taught to us by the precepts of men
and lodged firmly in our adamic minds, blocking the
pathway to Eden. Talk about a “flaming sword” that turns every which way… like
in 30,000 different ways (denominations)!
Isaiah
describes this whole thing to us.
Isa 29:10 For the LORD hath poured out upon you the
spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers,
the seers hath he covered.
That’s
right, in Genesis 2:21 we read that the Lord caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam,
i.e. our adamic minds, didn’t He? And Adam slept! And
so it is that our spiritual eyes have been closed by the LORD Himself (Isa 29:10).
Now the
serpent, the ever so subtle carnal nature within you, will tell your woman (the
flesh nature of your flesh) that your (spiritual) eyes can be opened by eating
from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, that the wisdom of man can
impart and reveal God to you. And that is the basis of every religion there is!
But that can never happen, because to be carnally minded is death, but to be
spiritually minded is life and peace (Rom 8:6).
And this I
will tell you again, as one who once had a great church and taught the Bible to
thousands of students, that until you “hear within” the sound of the Trumpet (of reveille); until you hear within your
sleeping soul the shout of the archangel; until the Spirit of Truth awakens
you, the book shall forever remain sealed to your spiritual understanding… and
your eyes shall remained closed, not opened, and you shall continue in your
deep (spiritual) sleep... even though
you may be a learned scholar or an astute student of the Bible. This I KNOW to
be true from personal first hand experience.
Isa 29:11 And the vision of all is become unto you as
the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed:
Isa 29:12 And the book is
delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.
Isa 29:13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this
people draw near me with their mouth,
and with their lips do honour me, but have removed
their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept
of men:
The precepts
of men, detailed within the seven churchisms of
Revelation chapters two and three, harden the heart and prevent men and women
from hearing what the Spirit of Truth, who resides in one’s heart, has to say! These
seven abominable spirits, the culmination of the wisdom of man, must be cast
out and perish before your eyes… else you cannot overcome, which is to “come
over”, even cross over the river of water, and enter into the kingdom of God.
You must be able to “hear” what the spirit has to say regarding these
“churches” within us... and God is able to make it happen. In other words, just
as He caused the deep sleep to come upon you, He can and will awaken you out of
your slumber. Wow, what a day that is!
Isa 29:14 Therefore, behold, I
will proceed to do a marvellous work among this
people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish,
and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.
At one time,
Saul of Tarsus was a great Bible student, even a learned one who studied under
the great Hebrew scholar Gamaliel. He was full of
man’s wisdom… until the Light from above struck him down and instantly changed
the nature (name) of his heart from Saul to Paul. The old heaven did pass away!
Now I tell
you of a truth, that all that Biblical knowledge and understanding Saul had
received from the wisdom of man, from great scholars like Gamaliel, was thrown right out the window when Christ revealed
Himself to him and he used none of that old carnal understanding in
preaching the gospel.
1 Cor 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words
which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
1 Cor 2:14 But the
natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of
God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them,
because they
are spiritually discerned.
Paul both
“Saw the Light” and “Heard His Voice” when Christ revealed Himself to him.
Gal 1:11 But I certify
you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
Gal 1:12 For I neither received it of man,
neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Yes, Paul
experienced the Revelation of Jesus Christ and it changed him in a moment, in
the twinkling of an eye! Grace and Peace had come unto him and as a result he now
knew that spiritual things cannot be understood by listening to preachers and
teachers and wise scholars, even one as wise and knowledgeable as Gamaliel. The Spirit of Truth you hear comes from heaven
above, the mystery of which is that heaven lies deep within the inner sanctuary
of your heart.
The question
is, “Is your heart far removed from Him?” Is it not the two Cherubims (Gen. 3:24), those two lobes (of the flesh/carnal mind) located at the place of
your skull (where the crucifixion must take place), that harden your heart by listening
to the traditional teachings (leaven) of men? Be still and “hear what the spirit
has to say”, beginning with the seven churchisms. Now
I know some, perhaps many, struggle with this. They wonder what it means to
hear His voice and how does one actually do that! In fact, I just received a
letter from a dear sister who says she thinks she understands most of the
postings so far on our website and she is anxiously “Awaiting to Hear the Voice
of God as in Rev. 1:4”.
The Voice of
God is truly His good will in us. Call it our heart’s (heaven’s) desire to do
that which is right. Think of how people let their voices (their will, desire)
be heard when they vote, for instance. And of course God can speak to us in
many ways, but if you are waiting to hear God audibly speak to you, like,
“Hello, Lance, this is the Lord speaking. I want you to go do this and then go
do that”, then I’m afraid you are most likely going to wait an awfully long
time... for you see, the words He “speaks to you”… they are SPIRIT and they are
LIFE! Oh yes, LIFE speaks to YOU! So quit connecting His Voice with your ears!
I mean, how
is it that we worship (follow) God? Is going to church on Sunday and singing
praises from a hymnbook worshipping God? Or is worshipping God in spirit and in
truth, aka doing the right thing, which thing is right because you know in your
heart it is the right thing, which thing you know is the will of God, which
means you “hear His Voice”, even when you would much rather compromise and take
the easier softer way?
It takes inner
strength and courage to stand up and do the right thing, especially in the face
of adversity. Does not history alone teach us that the preservation of Freedom
and Liberty is costly and requires self sacrifice… even the shedding of blood?
That’s where trusting in the Lord with all your heart and mind and soul comes
in, for as it is written, “…He is a buckler to all those who trust in Him
(Ps.18:30)”.
John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Ok, we read a
few paragraphs back in 1 Cor. 2:14 that the natural (carnal) mind cannot
receive the Spirit of Truth. So it cannot be with your MIND that you come to
KNOW HIM, can it? Are you with me? You cannot “see” Jesus Christ with your
carnal mind, for all that the carnal mind can see is imagery, such as the form
of a man, which is the way the world sees Him.
John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
Where does
the Spirit of Truth reside? Answer: With You and In
You… in your heart! That’s where you KNOW HIM! But remember, He tells His
disciples over and over again that He must first go to Jerusalem to be
crucified… but He makes this promise to you:
John 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
“To where…
or shall I say, to whom, did Jesus Christ say He will come?” To YOU! Oh… the
revelation of it! And when He does come unto you, then His Grace and Peace shall
reside within.
Grace be to you and peace from God
our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
… to be continued.
